Alice is a beta product for practising consulting case interviews, run by a small team at alicecases.com. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

Your name, email and the short background answers you give in the app, and the date of your next interview if you give one. The written transcript of each interview, the debrief and scores Alice produces, and your answers to feedback questions. Your answers to practice questions, typed or transcribed from your voice, with the marks Alice gives them, and your progress through the lessons: which ones you have read, practised and fixed. Cases you upload. Basic usage records: when you started and ended a session, which case or lesson, how long it ran, which screens you reached, and the kind of device and browser you used (for example, a phone or a laptop, Chrome or Safari) and its screen size.

What we don't keep

Your voice is transcribed live and the audio is not stored by us. Your camera is never transmitted or recorded. It only shows in your own browser.

How we use it

To run your interview, write your debrief, mark your practice answers, track your progress across cases and lessons, and improve Alice. We read transcripts, practice answers and debriefs ourselves to understand how the product performs. If you came through a club link, your club may receive summary statistics, such as how many cases were run and common weaknesses, but not your transcripts, practice answers or scores. Your scores also count towards the average for your school that other students from it see beside their own scores: an average, never your name. While only a few students from a school are using Alice, that average can show roughly how the others scored.

If you give us your email, we send you your debrief link and your code. If you ask for a reminder, we send it on the day you pick and, only if you don't come back, one email asking what got in the way. If you tick the box when you give an interview date, we email you once to ask how it went. Reply stop to any of them and they stop.

Who else processes it

Deepgram converts your speech to text, in cases and when you practise out loud (processed in the EU, or in the US if the EU service can't be reached; Deepgram may retain audio to improve its models). ElevenLabs generates Alice's voice, including the practice questions she reads and her verdicts on your answers (US; it retains the text it speaks for a period). Anthropic's models run the interview, write the debrief and mark your practice answers (US). Our server is hosted by DigitalOcean in London, behind Cloudflare. The emails above are sent by hand from [email protected], a mailbox hosted by Microsoft for INSEAD. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.

How long

For as long as the beta runs and up to 12 months after your last session. Ask us and we'll delete your data sooner.

Your choices

Use the request form to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to ask us anything. You must be 18 or over to use Alice.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, you'll be asked to accept it again before your next case or practice.
